Cruachan Cabin

Beautiful cabin, beautiful views Positive: The view was beautiful. Location was ideal, so private yet so easy to get to the main road and bus to oban. The cabin had everything you needed. It was so peaceful and the little extra touches were amazing. Will be looking to stay again!

Comfortable cabin with everything you need if you are looking for a rural getaway Positive: I love the location of this property, you feel like you are away from the hustle and bustle. The wildlife just across too made it more interesting

Enjoyable and very comfortable Positive: The cabin was very well presented with a good size fridge, twin hob, microwave and decent range of cookware. A welcome basket with eggs, fresh scones and jam was a nice touch as was the small jug of milk and a block of butter, tea and coffee. There don't appear to be any shops in Connel so this is great if you arrive without time to go shopping. The weather was quite mild and sunny when I arrived and the cabin gets the Sun so can get very warm during the day. There is a heater which does seem to do a good job of heating the room. The cabin is only a short walk from the train station and Oban is about 10-15 minutes drive. There is also a garden centre (Poppies) a couple of miles away that has a decent cafe. Negative: Although the bed was comfortable it did have a high footboard which means the bed can be a little short for anyone 6ft+.
