Cruachan Cabin

Enjoyable and very comfortable Positive: The cabin was very well presented with a good size fridge, twin hob, microwave and decent range of cookware. A welcome basket with eggs, fresh scones and jam was a nice touch as was the small jug of milk and a block of butter, tea and coffee. There don't appear to be any shops in Connel so this is great if you arrive without time to go shopping. The weather was quite mild and sunny when I arrived and the cabin gets the Sun so can get very warm during the day. There is a heater which does seem to do a good job of heating the room. The cabin is only a short walk from the train station and Oban is about 10-15 minutes drive. There is also a garden centre (Poppies) a couple of miles away that has a decent cafe. Negative: Although the bed was comfortable it did have a high footboard which means the bed can be a little short for anyone 6ft+.

Happy campers Positive: We are from a farm and really enjoyed the pasture out the window. The beautiful view of another part of Scotland was awe-inspiring. The pod was well organized and clean. Easy parking and well separated from the other pod on site. We stayed 3 nights. It was a good central location for us to go wondering about. Negative: It was hard to find. Yes instructions were given but the last little sign was turned 90 degrees out, luckily we did find but was frustrating. We never saw hosts, only contact was through the app.
