Achintee Cottages No 1

Absolutely loved it. Positive: Absolutely stunning. Out window looked out onto Ben Nevis. The cottage is the perfect size for a couple. Close to town and the main attractions. Negative: Nothing

Perfect. Positive: Warm, large, modern space with everything we needed. Located under Ben Nevis. Washing machine appreciated. Negative: Weather terrible and our Cottage a wonderful retreat.

Disappointing to say the least. Positive: The location was the reason for our booking, close by Ben Nevis. The set-up is corporate rather than personal. Our starter pack included one set of towels, two toilet rolls and one kitchen roll (half used) not really adequate for a one-week stay. The cleaning lady, who was friendly and responsive, supplied more on request. Negative: Lots of the little details that make for convenience and the personal touch. There were no small plates, no scouring pad for washing up, a limited supply of kitchen roll. The washing machine is hell to open. The fridge has no freezer compartment, a definite drawback for a one-week stay. These may be considered details but they were irritants which mounted up and tarnished our stay. Thus the low rating for value for money (over £160 per day!!!). And the electric gate takes an age to creak open.

Peaceful and pleasant . A good place to explore from

A short stay but worth it, thank you. Positive: The location was amazing, the view out of the window was fab. Negative: Nothing.
