Beach House

A wow house view and location. Positive: The view, the wow factor, the space. Very clean. Very comfortable. Decor was lovely. Location was the best, for our few days stay. Would love to stay again. Negative: Too much technology, with no instructions. House heating system, Japanese toilets with tech really not needed. Jacuzzi bath, steam cabinet shower, tvs and radios in the washrooms all items high tech with no instructions or controls visible. But we did contact owners agent and they dealt with the house heating for us. Thank you.

Fantastic holiday home. Beautiful views of the sea. We saw lots of birds including gannets diving and an otter. The air field was very cool too- we saw three or four planes over the course of the week and the pilot even waved to us in the living room which the children (and adults!) loved. Really well stocked kitchen and all the bathroom gadgets were enjoyed by all.Bedrooms were very comfy and the house had more than enough space for a group of eight made up of two families. Great holiday, perfect house for our group Positive: Great house, great location, perfect for our group of friends and family and the dog. Loved the little runway outside (we saw one plane take off very exciting!) and the beautiful rocky beach. Negative: The house needed coat hooks and boot racks for our wet gear

Amazing time with our family and a garden for the grandkids to play outside! Positive: Beautiful property with lots of space and views. We loved watching the occasional plane fly in and then take a walk to the Glenforsa Hotel for a meal. Afterwards we would walk across the runway to the beach :) Negative: Maybe another shower as there was only one

The Beach House is centrally located on the island and a great base to explore all the main sights. There is a modern (quite gentrified) cafe/farm shop 3mins drive away, and a small supermarket 5mins drive away in the nearest town. There is a small hotel about 5mins walk away which has a bar and restaurant. The beach is accessed over a small grass airfield (we never saw a plane in our 5 days there - so don’t worry about noise) 5mins walk awayThe house itself is modern, spacious and has lots of mod cons, from Japanese-style toilets to the more conventional satellite TV. Also notable was the good wifi, despite the rural location. There is a large kitchen with everything you’d need to cook at home, all equipment was modern. The dining area opens into the garden, where you’ll also find outside seating. There is a spacious living room upstairs with two large comfy sofas and tranquil views over the garden, and over to the water. The bedrooms are a good size, with comfortable and high quality beds & bedding. There are on paper 3 bathrooms, but better to say 1 WC, 1 en suite with a large jacuzzi bath and 1 bathroom with a shower. One shower room worked just fine for our small group. We had one wrinkle on day one and it was ironed out, in person, within an hour or so. Couldn’t fault the host’s desire for us to have a great stay. I’d highly recommend the Beach House.
