The house is a good touring base -essentially clean and warm. Negative comments to assist.
Positive: The house is generally clean though cobwebs on lampshades do exist.
The kitchen is well supplied with equipment. The only thing I couldn’t locate was egg cups.
The house is warm.
The beds are comfortable.
Negative: We arrived at 8pm when it was quite dark. Fiddling with the 4 digit code in the dark was a poor start to our stay. The lock box is also not easy to open. The presence of a non-functioning outdoor light immediately above the door entrance illustrates the lack of consideration by the hosts in my opinion.
The central lighting in the living room and bedrooms was poor.
The shower is a hazard on the following accounts. The bath surface is slippy and there is no slip mat to prevent a fall. Secondly, there is very little pressure on the shower. Finally, it is impossible to regulate the temperature of the water. The hot water could easily cause serious injury. This applies to the hot water taps throughout the house.
It would be better not to refer to a welcome pack as it creates an impression which a pint of milk and a few biscuits does not realise.
The failure to weed the patio areas and to have the 4 or 5 planters occupied by weeds is disappointing.
One is required to check out at 10.00am, having the cleaner at the front door at 10.01 am, while it didn’t impact on us, is operating to the letter of the law.

Positive: New clean kitchen and great view across the road to the loch (but care if you have children as the road is very busy from 6 am to midnight). A few small cobwebs but overwise very clean.
Negative: The cottage is right next to a main road with heavy traffic noise throughout the day.
This is an Airbnb type property and key code released just 1 hour before check in time on day so no staff/owner contact We did not want to go in before check in but there was a concern that we might not get the relevant key box code due to phone /internet reception and then the village has no facilities so if you were coming in say in the early evening you might have a problem if the code did not come through for any reason. This was not for security or to ensure cleaning staff had sufficient time as West Holidays (the key holder company who managed it) were happy to push extra charges.

Brilliant stay. Shower a bit naff. Excellent location. Great off road parking
Positive: The location was excellent. The views were brilliant. Great off-road private parking. The cottage was homely, comfortable and clean. It was nice to have a welcome pack too
Negative: The power to the shower was turned off. However, after we turned it on it was a bit naff. No real water pressure and difficult to get to a comfortable temperature. Ample hot water if you are able to get in and out of a bath.
