The Duplex Apartment

Amazing, just what we needed! Positive: Very clean, in very good condition, excellent location, very responsive host Negative: One silly thing: the two bathrooms are both downstairs and when I woke up to use the loo in the first night I realised all the doors were identical and I couldn’t tell if they were bathroom or bedroom doors! One parking permit for a house with 5 bedroom is not really enough. The long term parking is a 10 min walk away (opposite Lidl) and costs about £10 per 24 hours.

Spot on. Positive: Really nice, very clean, well presented, had plenty space for our group of 8, great price. Spot on. Ben was really comfy, kitchen well equipped. Stairs to get in and out but no problem at all.

Cosy, clean and right in the centre of Fort William Positive: I liked the location of the place, it was perfect for parking and for being accessible to the town - the apartment was a great little find, had tonnes of space so we never felt on top of one another and had all the utensils and equipment you could think you'd need for a adventure holiday in Scotland. The hosts were also very responsive and helpful prior and during the stay! I'd also really recommend the cosy cafe right opposite the apartment. Negative: The main issue we had was the hot water, in one of the bathrooms it was barely luke warm, so in the end, four of us ended up showering in one bathtub... i think this is perhaps something that can't be avoided as it's a flat on the top floor, but nevertheless, it did affect the trip at times. Additionally, we were warned about it very clearly, but there are a lot of steps to get up to the apartment - so do be wary of this if not physically fit to do so, if you're perfectly healthy, it's a nice challenge to reach the top :)

Excellent accommodation with comfy beds. Positive: We loved the interior plenty of room for our group of 5 ladies all looked newly furnished and decorated. Kitchen was well equipped only missing an oven glove. Everything as described yes lots of stairs but if you are hiking they should not be a problem more of a warm up. Negative: One room was missing a skylight blind. Yes you do hear noise from the high street but ear plugs are useful. ( perhaps the owners could supply some for those that don’t have their own)
