Marina Apartment No.1

A devastatingly bad, very upsetting experience that will stay with me forever Positive: I was relieved to leave. However, I did mop up the flooding water in the bathroom. I did point out that a lamp had an electrical fault which may have been dangerous. I did also point out that the bathroom window area covered in glue was from other guests who had tried to fit a screen to the window (without a curtain the shower looked directly on to carpark and street). I also pointed out the live bees nest, seeing them come and go from the building and hearing them buzzing in the walls upstairs. Before my stay, I liked that I had managed to talk to a local person who had been helpful. Indeed, she explained they were flat out trying to be ready for checkin so I arrived later to be helpful in return. But unfortunately, perhaps because people were rushing they did not check that the drain from the shower was working (it was blocked). Amazingly, there was also no curtain at the window (how was this not noticed?). Sadly, when the problems became apparent I was left phoning people remotely (people without local knowledge and h=who frankly did seemed to care I was missing my friend's funeral) I was told there was no emergency so the shower would not be fixed until Monday, But after a couple of hours someone local was located. Unfortunately, by then - the whole ceremony I was to attend had concluded. Negative: I did not like that I went to this area ONLY to attend a friend's funeral and because of problems at the apartment (blocked drain flooding bathroom & no curtain at bathroom window) plus POOR communication, I missed the entire musical part of the funeral. So I was not able to play my musical instrument and bid a respectful farewell or film/photograph as it had been expected I would do. Then, on leaving, housekeeping arrived and shouted at me for not having checked out (despite the fact that I was only still there because I was actually on the phone complaining). My complaint has not in any way been considered so I have escalated it to Booking .com

Only a one night stay but lovely quiet area Positive: Clean and well equipped Negative: None

It was great! Hot water did not work the first day but landlord had it fixed early the second day.

Excellent property Spotlessly clean and comfortable Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Where to turn without specific directions and which locks to open. There were 3 key locks. Had to try all 3 locks. Shower had plenty of hot water but kitchen sink and bathroom sinks hot water gayest didn’t have hit water. Kitchen is very new and clean but no salt or salt to cook with.
